Full Advisory Text
Warning Description: Winter Weather Advisory

Warning Date: 12:28 PM CST on February 8, 2010

WarningSum:...Winter Weather Advisory Remains In Effect Until 6 Am Cst
Tuesday...

Warning Message:A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 am CST
Tuesday.
* Timing...light snow will increase from the northwest this
afternoon and this evening. Snow should continue late tonight
then taper off early Tuesday morning.
* Accumulations...snowfall this afternoon and tonight should
range from 1 to 3 inches. The heaviest snow will be east of
  Interstate 29.
* Wind and visibility...winds of 20 to 35 mph can be expected this
afternoon and tonight...with the strongest winds this afternoon
along and west of the James River...where gusts may exceed 40
mph. This will cause areas of blowing and drifting
snow...especially in rural areas. The worst visibilities east of
the James River are expected tonight.
* Wind chill values...the coldest wind chills of 15 to 25 below
zero will be early this afternoon. With steady or rising
temperatures tonight...the wind chill will be around 5 below
  zero.
Precautionary/preparedness actions... a Winter Weather Advisory
for snow and blowing snow means that visibilities will be limited
due to a combination of falling and blowing snow. Use caution
when traveling...especially in open areas.
